Relief on the Mayan temple at Palenque, Mexico, dated circa A.D.300.

"Long and very rich" is the history of those who, through millennia, created new forms of culture in the fertile lands of Veracruz. The Olmeca and Totonaca Indians who inhabited these lands left a fantastic legacy of artistic production. Sculptors, ceramists, lapidaries, painters and goldsmiths worked under the orientation of the Tlamatini (spiritual leaders) to create a link between the human and the divine, attracting its spiritual benefits. This cultural heritage has been preserved and enriched by the contemporary artisans whose creations still go beyond the material.

Keeping with the tradition, men and women who roll the Veracruz cigars, do more than just "roll" tobacco. Every Veracruz cigar is made with the same spiritual inspiration as it was once taught by the ancient Tlamantinis.
